Who's Who
Archbishop Alan Harper, Archbishop of Armagh, Primate of All Ireland and Metropolitan was appointed and enthroned early in 2007. Ordained in 1978 he had previously been an archaeologist. He has served in Derry and Raphoe Dioceses and in Connor Diocese where he was also Bishop for five years before coming to Armagh.
Dean Patrick Rooke has been at the Cathedral since 2006 having
previously served in Armagh Diocese for some six years from 1988.
Most of his ministry has been spent in Connor Diocese, Co. Antrim,
where he served under the Archbishop as a rector and for a short time
as Archdeacon.
Organist, Theo Saunders comes from Leicester where he served as
organist at St. James the Greater for eleven
years prior to his present appointment. A graduate of Corpus
Christi College, Oxford, the Cathedral's Organist enjoys living
in Armagh and after four years feels very much at home.
Verger: Mr David Bingham has been the Dean's Verger since his appointment in Autumn 2007. He is an Armagh man and very pleasant in all his dealings with his colleagues and with those who visit the Cathedral.
