The Cathedral is located in Armagh City, the geographical heartland of Northern Ireland, a beautiful rural, historic area served by the main motorway network in Northern Ireland. Armagh City is situated 40 miles south of Belfast and is built on the foothills of the mountain range which divides Ulster from the West of Ireland. Armagh's border location makes the area easily accessible from major roads such as the M1 from Belfast and the N1 from Dublin.
